I have a '01 w/a 4.7 magnum. I have had almost no problems with this vehicle. Today, my wife (who always dirves this vehicle), stopped at the grocery store on the way home. After shopping, she returned to the truck, started it and it would not stay running. She tried mutiple time with the same results. After calling me to come get her, the only thing she noticed odd was that the outside temperature was showing 133 degrees. We are if Fort Myers Fl., and while it was hot and muggy, it was also raining. She stated that while it was running, it ran smooth with no hesitation as long as her foot was slightly on the gas. As soon as she let off, it would stall. After sitting for aprox. 15 min, she started it to move it to a more accessable parking spot. Low and behold it started and stayed running. I followed her home, she said it ran perfectly (about a 15 minute ride). We parked, and 2 hrs. later I went out to start, started up and idled with no problem, no rough idle and outside temp gage showed correct outside air temp. Help?

Sincerely,

Bumfuzzled

If the check engine light hasn't come on, I feel it is fuel related. Here is a how to for checking fuel pump pressure. Check it and let me know what you find. Also, you will need a fuel pressure gauge. Most parts stores will lend or rent one to you.
