1999 Dodge Durango plz help

I have a 1999 durango ive done nothing but the drive shaft going too the front drive axil (i can move it side too side and up and down lotta slop)whines. So can I drop it and still drive it?

I believe it bolts to the converter and there is a u-joint on the front. However, if there is a problem in the transfer case or the differential, the sound will still be there. Also, please note that we recommend keeping the vehicle the way it was designed. Other problems could occurr.

Are you sure it doesn't just need a u-joint?
