2005 Dodge Dakota rumbles on initial takeoff

When I first start out from a full stop, the truck rumbles and vibrates a little. After I build up a little rpm's, it smoothes out and doesn't do it again until I reach low rpm's. It's not real bad now, but I would like to avoid it developing into something major.

Hi choppa1. Welcome to the forum. This is typical of a tight u-joint. You might be able to see evidence in the form of reddish rust around the cup seals, otherwise you'll need to remove the drive shaft to feel if one of the joints is binding.
