Recently I have been experiencing issues with my truck when I start it up. When I start the truck it will instantly idle down and die. If I rev up the RPM's it will run as long as I push the gas. It does not do this everytime. Other times it will start-up and run normally. Once it starts there is no issue, and it runs fine. I have not had any other issue with the truck before this. Any ideas as to what could be causing the problem.

Hi:
Off the top of my head there are a few things that could cause this; however, I suggest you stop at nationally recognized auto parts store and have them scan the computer for trouble codes. That way we have a starting point and are not throwing money into the truck for no reason.

If you have an Auto Zone near by, they will scan the computer for free.

Let me know what you find, and we'll go from there.

Joe
