where is the thermostat

it is either located at the end of the upper radiator hose or the lower, where the upper radiator hose, where it mounts to the engine there should be a thermostat housing that comes off by remove usually two bolts, if there is none then find the lower radiator hose and look for the thermostat housing there or near the transmission.
