The heater stopped heating and the temperature gauge stays on c. How do I replace the thermostat?

Hi:
drain coolant from the radiator. Next, follow the upper rad hose back to the engine. The hose will end at the thermostat housing. Remove the hose, unbolt the housing and the t-stat is under there.
Replace the thermostat and reverse the process.
