39 pounds of fuel pressure and replaced fuel regulator still no start. Changed crank sensor and no start. It's a California emission car 4.0 and has no cam position sensor. I can't find out much info about what controls or takes the place of cam sensor.

Sounds like this is an ignition issue so let's confirm that by checking for spark.

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-test-an-ignition-system

If you don't have spark, then this could be a number of things, but the likely cause would be a cam sensor. You actually do have a cam sensor on this engine, and it is on the top of the engine and called the CID sensor. Basically, this is just a distributor like gear driven sensor. I attached a picture of it below.

I also included the wiring diagram so that we can start running through the various fuses and relays to find out where we have power and where we do not.

Please let me know what you find with this, and we can go from there.

Thanks

Kenny, the CID is not in back of engine it's a bolt with a hold down clamp holding what is a cover over it. I guess I need to get you a VIN number and see what engine this is. I took intake off and no sensor there, but I'm going to do the test above but the cam position sensor it not like pic you have there is a 2-wire plug there in harness hooked to nothing.

Kenny, I worked on the truck today and I noticed the key switch isn't acting right and I have no power to relay on run or start positions. Also, the fuel pressure is zero now unless I power it with a power probe then its 39 psi but drops to 0 in a few seconds. Checked ineret switch and its powered both sides
Could the key switch actuator be bad? I can't find a diagram on it?

Clearly that is an issue depending on where you don't have power.

We should have 12 volts at the relay on one of the terminals from the battery. Then when you turn the key to start, the voltage is sent to the control side of the relay which closes the relay and sends the 12 volts to the starter.

So, if you have no voltage at all on any terminal at the relay when the key is on then we need to inspect wiring as well.

As you can see from the diagram below, you should have voltage at all times at the relay as there is a direct feed from the battery.

So, it comes from the battery to the relay. Then from the relay up to the fuel and then to the ignition switch.

Kenny, do you have a better diagram of relay? I did test it, and I have power on two sides and knows which other prong turns fuel pump on.

I am not sure I have another diagram of just the relay except for the OEM diagram.

So, this may help because Ford actually listed the expected voltage.

It is basically what I told you but it gives wire colors and voltages so let me know if this helps.
