Click noise

Sounds as if the starter is faulty or you have poor voltage to the main starter connection. The click will probably be the starter solenoid engaging, this is also the main starter internal switch. If the contacts are burnt or you have low voltage or a bad ground the starter will fail to turn. Check power and grounds and if both are okay get the starter checked out.
