Strange clicking sound

Hi I have 93 subaru legacy, 2ltr turbo auto wagon. Every mornign when I start it up I let it warm up for ten minuted befor heading out. Some mornings I have noticed a strange clicking sound coming from the left hand side of the engine. This always stops after one or two minutes. Can you please telll me what this mite be. Thanks, rj.

Could be the engine warming up. Different metals expand at different rates when warming up, this can cause what you are hearing

Hey thanks for your reply. I heard it agin the other morning and its more of a tapping sound than anything else.

Sounds like sticky lifters. Not real sure if horizontialy opposed engines have lifters or tappets. But that sounds like lifter noise. Change your oil and filter.
