what could cause a car to run find . then it will just cut off, when the car cuts off and you try to restart the car the accelerator want press down you may have to keep trying several times before you can get the accelerator to press down, but once it presses down the car will start, also sometimes you maybe able to drive for 2 or 3 days before it will cut off on you .then other days it will cut off on you several times a day.

Has the check engine light come on? Have you had the fuel pump pressure tested?

If the light came on, there should be a code stored in the computer. Take it to a nationally recognized parts store and have them scan it for codes. It should help identify where the problem is coming from.

Let me know what you find.

ok i will try again but when i took it to autozone they told me that since the check engine light wasnt on then that they wouldnt be able to tell what the problem was. also would the fuel pump cause the accelerator not to be able to press down when trying to start the car?

i took the car to autozone and they put it on the machine , but the fuel pump showed up that it was ok. the guy that works there said that he thinks that it could be intake valve area vacuum hose cause he said that he could hear some type of noise

If there is a hard code in the computer, it will show up if scanned. As far as the fuel pump, yes it could cause this. Here is a how to for checking fuel pump pressure.
