Hello,
I just resently got a 1988 Chevy 3/4 ton truck. The gas gauge does not work. I would like to find out what size gas tank it has and what is the average gas millage for this kind of truck?
Also is they a place online to view this type of information?

For the gauge-could be the sending unit in the tank. I assume the capacity of the tank maybe between 16-20gals-the more it takes the longer distance you go. Fuel Economy-depends on the engine conditions and the rest of the vehicle sub-systems. Hard to say where

My 88 3 4 ton chev with a 305 engine and 3spd auto trans gets about 12mpg. You prob won't get any better than 15mpg unless you have an overdrive transmission. My fuel tank holds about 26 gal.
