Truck dies when high demand on fuel

I have a 1990 Chevy S10 pickup, 4 cylinder with 193,000 miles. I don't know much about cars. The tag on the bumper says 2.5 fuel injection.

It runs just fine at any speed until it starts up a steep climb. It seems that when there is high demand on the fuel, it stalls out and dies. It will not start again until it's left to sit for about 20 minutes. Then it starts again and runs just fine as long as on level ground, holding steady speed.

I need help.

Id start with a fuel pump and relay and filter. That mileage the pump is probably too weak to keep up with demand.
