I live in omaha and drive my camaro daily. A couple of weeks ago there was squeeking under the hood, so I put good ole' wd-40 on the pullys. I recently noticed a whining sound coming from under the hood. The car still starts, however the battery gague only reads at about 9. The whining sound corresponds with the rpm. I recently left my lights on an the gps plugged into the cig lighter for about two hours. Supprisingly no problem starting up. I was sitting at a left turn with my blinker on and noticed that the rpm's went up slightly whenever the blinker light went on. Whats going on and if it is the alternator is there a possibility of saving it? Also, sometimes this camaro wont start and I have to play with the clutch petal (hear a tiny clicking sound) to get it to 'catch' and start. Sometimes the car wont start because this 'tiny clicking sound' dissappears when I am playing with the clutch. If I wait five minutes (or enought time to smoke a cigarette) that sound comes back and the car starts right up. Any idea what could cause this? Bazarr!

You got multiple problems-Get the alternator load tested to fix your low voltage-it should be 13.5-15.5 if the alternator is doing its job.

Also, sometimes this camaro wont start

Could be a problem with ignition switch, starter enable relay, clutch switch, pass key decoder module and starter itself
