1980 Chevy Camaro brake Master cylinder hose

What exactly does the port out of the back of my edelbrock carb do, and what is the port adapter coming from the master cylinder to where the hose meets the carburetor called.

The port on the backside is usually a full time vacuum port. It really depends on the model. What exactly are you trying to do? Did the connector get messed up for that port? You can find out alot by going to edelbrock. Com. Its really hard to say for sure because I dont know what series carb you have. Try that site. It has all the manuals for free download. :) Good luck
