I have a custom rebuilt Camaro. I was using a line lock on it about a year ago to do a burnout before a race and when I got up to the line my brake pedal went to the floor. I have all-wheel disc brakes from wilwood. If I pump the brakes they will pump up but only a little bit and then they go to the floor again. When I have someone push the brakes while I'm under the hood I can hear a squish noise coming from either the brake booster or the master cylinder. I have had a few people tell me its the master cylinder but how do I know for sure. Please Help.

Hi:
It sounds like the master cylender is bypassing. If you have no leaks, all rubber hoses are good, and no leaks at the calopers, it's the master cylender especially if you're not loosing any fluid.

Let me know what you decide.

I have never seen a single leak from anywhere since the problem started happening so it must be the master cylinder. Do I need a new one or can I fix the problem by bleeding the brakes?

It's not worth rebuilding. Just replace it.

Let me know what you find.
