It is necessary to remove the upper engine mounting strut to remove the water pump? I'm not shure, she comes out when i left the strut in place. (The strut is shown on the left side of the engine, looks in silver color). :|
Reason: cooling water squirts on powersteering pump, the seal is broken.

If you support the engine underneath with a floorjack and block of wood (careful of the oil pan) and remove the front mount, then you can jack th engine up a little for more working space
