Flashing check engine light turned on while driving

I was driving on the highway getting ready to exit, I sped up and drove around another car on a curve and my check engine light came on flashing as I rounded the curve. The flashing stopped in about 30 seconds, should I be worried about this?

Is the check engine light still on? We should check for codes and go from there.

Once we know what codes are there, we will have a better idea. However a flashing check engine light normally means it is a misfire that is potentially damaging the engine or exhaust. So we need to find out if this is the case. Even if the light is off, there will still be a stored code.

So if the light is still on then we need to check this and go from there. Lastly are there any issues with the way it drives? Does it feel rough or sluggish?

The engine light has not come back on but the car does drive sluggishly. I used a diagnostic scanner for AutoZone and the code PO305 came up.

Okay. This could be a number of things causing the misfire but let's run a compression check on all cylinders because if that is not ok then nothing else matters.
