OBD read misfires. I went ahead and changed all 6 spark plugs and 6 coils as well to the best of my ability. When I turn the car now, it was shaking violently then shut off. Tried that few times. Checked obd and it said ignition coil b primary circuit misfire and cylinder 1 misfire in red and ignition coiI 4 control circuit in warning. (Check attached image). I then reinstalled either all of only the affected spark plugs and ignition coils. Now it was out of the danger zone but it is still throwing the warning message for ignition coil b control circuit and the previous P0354 code. (See image 2) which also shows cold engine start which I couldn't find much on online. 1 person took off the throttle body and cleaned it and worked for him, I did the same but no luck. I took it to mechanic after being unable to figure out since I am a self learning and this car is far too complicated than today's cars but they said in order for them to turn on the car and diagnose problem, they need to change the transmission filter which require disassembling and engine and couple other things. That alone costing to $700.00. I think it should not be that complicated of a case so asking here if anyone has pointers on what could be the problem that I could try to play around and fix it. I have read it many times that you don't need to change transmission filter so going with this mechanic might be the equivalent of a shooting my own foot. Please let me know what can I do to figure this problem out and get this car working. Let me know of anything else that I can help with.

Good afternoon,

Did you check and make sure the connectors are seated correctly on the coils? It is common for the connectors to break and not hold contact.

I would also check the compression to be sure there is no internal damage.

Let me know what you find.

Roy,

Thank you very much for the quick response. When reinstalling coil and spark plugs, I did not see any issues with the coils as they both were new. I also swapped out the 2 that were causing issues with 2 other but it was still doing the same thing to only those affected hence it did not seemed to be the coil issue. I will look into the compression issue. One thing I forgot to mention before was the official car shaking, I changed the transmission oil and I never cycled the oil by changing gears and started driving. I did not see any issue until maybe a day later or so when the car started shaking because of misfires. Is that also an issue that could have lead to all this?

No to the transmission. This is an engine issue.

Keep me updated.

Roy,

Sorry for the late update. I was in and out of town and the car wouldn't even stay on for me to diagnose up and had to give to a local mechanic. Big mistake. Went in for a small issue of $50.00 to $100.00 estimate, they turned it into a nightmare of $400.00+ for me. Just brought the car back hoping it would have fixed my problem but it didn't at least the car turns on and I was able to drive home though it was jerking like crazy the entire way. See the attached image of the recent obd. Still the same as last time. I will get that part from Amazon that you suggested before and diagnose further.
