Yesterday on my way to work my car shut off, I forgot that my gas gauge was messed up. So, I first tried to spray starting fluid and it almost cranked. Then I tried to hit my starter with my long wrench, and I hit the top of the starter the bigger part and it made a spark after that everything was not working, no lights or anything. I know it ran out of gas, that's why it shut off. I even bought a new battery last night and hooked it up and even though there was a spark when I was connecting the positive terminal. No lights, or anything work still. Do you think the spark from hitting the starter could make the car have no power at all?

Yes, it sounds like you may have popped the main power fusible link, here is a guide to help you and the location of the link so you can check it out:

Here are the fusible links you need to check under the hood in the engine fuse panel. Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.

So, you think that when I hit the top part of the starter, and it made that big spark it could have blown the starter fuse? And that would make it completely dead (i.E. No lights, trunk pop or anything) I have these fuses from my 07 Maxima I can try.

Those look like relays? You could have shorted out the positive battery cable, use a test light to see if it works on the battery and still no power at the main starter lug.

Please go over this guide and get back to us.
