Cant figure out which way to place the timing CAM in right

There must be a magnetic pick up on the distributor and we don't know how to put it in the right way. The car runs but sputters a little bit. No marks to line it up so we need help. Never touch the timing chain so the distributor is what we need help putting back in.

Have a pro do this as the cam sensor must be synchroed with the crank sensor an dyou need a scanner for that.
