Mass air flow sensor
Hi i have a 1988 buick park avenue, close to 200,000 and i believe its a v6 (not sure what size that is) and my car keeps dying on me, i was told that it was a mass air flow sensor but the one for that year is expensive and hard to find just wandering if any other year would work?

Not that I know of.....One forsure way to tell is to take something and tap on the sensor. You will notice the idle change or the car will dye. Just tap on it don't hit it hard....That was a common problem on those cars....
