I have a 1999 buick park avenue Ultra with 106,000 miles. When it gets to about 30 degrees or so, the instrument cluster goes out. All gauges drop except the fuel gauge. After the car warms up they will usually come back on and sometimes not. It does not occur in the summer or spring when it is warm. To make matters worse, I had a mechanic pull the cluster and took it to AJR international in Elmhurst, Illinois. This company specializes in this kind of repair work. They could find nothing wrong with the cluster including when they put it in the freezer. Help! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi everyone.

I had my cluster replaced with a different unit and it now works perfectly. So I guess the moral of the story is that with electronics, even if it bench tests fine, it still may be bad! How about that! Go Figure!
