My fuel gauge will not show if full or not

Check for instrument cluster trouble codes? At the sending unit connector, at the gas tank, You can use different resistors at the proper terminals to see if gage reacts properly, key on. If the gage reacts properly, I suspect the sending unit in the gas tank. 250 ohm resistor, the gage should read full. 40 ohm resistor, the gage reads empty. Radioshack sells resistors, don't cost much. Some people don't want any part of testing, That's up to you?
