My 1994 Buick LeSabre misses and sometimes just dies. Wll restart sometimes and sometimes will not restart for a couple of days. I have ohmed the coil packs and got a good reading 7, but, the whats weird to me is that when the car is in this condition of being being unable to start, I put the ignition switch to ON and the power windows will not operate, so if windows are down when this happens, thay stay down until the condition has passed. Any ideas? Thank You so muc in advance for you response. I wish I could donate you some cash but I am strapped, but, I will in the future, once again thank you.

Can I test this myself? Since car won't start today and possibly never again, I have no transportation and I live in avery remote location in Tennessee. Thanks.

Yes you could if you have an electrical background if not get someone else to do it-I pointed the ignition switch due to the power windows and there's more that can caused it a good place to start

Thought over what has been happening. Car produces symptoms as described before. Everytime, father puts gas in the car and says I just needed gas and it runs fine. However, this doesn't explain why the power options do not work such as windows, power locks and power seat. So, my think was, if this is possible, the fuel pump does fine when the electrical connections are submerged in liquid. After having thyought this through and doing little things all day without success, I walked out and shook the car thinking maybe I would get gas on the connections in the tank and got in the car after shaking and it started right up. This has me bewildered but if you would, please look over this thoroughly and see if you think it's possible about the fuel pump shorting. Also, I went to gas store and put $7 dollars, but, car died prior to pumping gas. I shook the rear end of the car until I could hear gas sloshing and the car started right up. $7 dollars is all the car would hold at $2.59 a gallon. Thank you so much for your replies and I am sorry this is so long, I just have to have the car to get to work.
