Auto-Start stall?

The car was running fine, no warning lights, came to a stop light and the auto-stop kicked in as usual. Took foot off brake, car shut down and a message about 2 key fobs programmed appeared. Put car in park, started right back up, but blinker click sound is no longer present - blinkers still work, as well as radio and all other dings and beeps.

It sounds like the BCM is going out but to be sure let's do a CAN scan.

You can get a CAN scanner (Controller Area Network) which will work on most cars from Amazon.

Here is how to change the BCM out in case a code comes up for it, you can get a preprogrammed unit by searching Google or Ebay. It could be the car needs to be updated as well. Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.
