Prob 1 - My car will not turn over right away I have to turn the key back and forth to the Batt until it gets some kind of "surge" and my dash lights up then I can start it.

Prob 2 - My car is just dying while I am driving. I'll be doing 70 on the freeway then it just goes out. Super dangerous need help fast thanks.

I have a 200 Malibu with 130,000 miles v-6 engine. The engine just stops...no warning. Sometimes it will restart. On July 4 2007 it would not restart, replaced the injectors. On July 15, 2007 it died again while driving. The fuel filter was totally blocked. Replaced it...On July 20, 2007 after driving 100 miles, the fuel filter again blocked. Any ideas?

1 year ago, my malibu died on the highway and had it towed to shop. $680 dollars later, I was told it was bad gas and had the fuel system cleaned/parts replaced. now, a year later, it won't start and is back at the shop for an unknown expense. I changed the plugs (BTW...the back 3 were really hard to get to) and it started but wouldn't stay running. It doesn't seem to be getting fire. Also, the dash lights are out and changing the fuses didn't work. I was told to pay for a diagnostice ($125) to find out why the dash light doesn't work. Any suggestions? Is this a pattern or a unique situation?

P/1 1st try checking the ignition switch thoroughly this can lead to the 2nd problem.

P/2 Try having these things check: fuel pressure to rule out the pump, crankshaft position sensor, ignition control module and coil/s.
