Acts like it is not getting gas. I heard it could be the Anti-theft causing the problem. How do I fix this?

Hi and thanks for using 2CarPros.com

If there is a problem with the security system, the light will flash or not turn off. If that is the case, first try a spare key to see if that helps.

If that is not what is happening, take a look through this link. It discusses causes of a crank/no start. Also, it shows how to check different things and repair them.

As you will see after reviewing the aforementioned link, there are several things that can cause a no start. What I suggest is this. First, check for fuel and spark to the engine. Here are links showing how that is done:

You will need a gauge. Most parts stores will lend or rent one to you. Here are the manufacturer's specs for fuel pump pressure.

ITEM .................... SPECIFICATION

Key on, engine off .................... 207-276 kPa (30-40 psi)
Engine running .................... 207-276 kPa (30-40 psi)

Let me know if I can help or if you have other questions. I can help guide you if needed. Once you complete these tests, let me know what you find.

Take care,
Joe
