AC leaking Freon

Will not hold Freon, big leak. Whati s the best option?

Good afternoon.

Inject some leak detector into the system. Run the A/C system.

Use either a good bright LED light or a UV light to look for the leak. When you look, Freon is heavier than air and will leak down, so look under the hoses and components.

Due to the age of the car (twenty two years), and challenge of finding leak(s) as you describe, I am considering replacing A/C system. Is that feasible? Or even possible? Any idea of the cost for that?

The replacement cost for parts is between $1,200.00 to $1,500.00 depending on your area.

The labor is around ten hours.

If you are not sure how to check it, take it somewhere and have them check it for you. Then you can do the replacing. That would make more sense.
