Cigarette Lighter has stopped working in my 1996, Toyota Corolla. Radio and other devices are woking fine. Could you please let me know what may the problem. Checked fuses under the hood and they look fine. Are there anyother fuses. Thanks

The lighter only works when ign. Is on. If all the fuses are OK, then remove the unit and check for 12V at the wires, if you have 12V, then lighter housing must be replaced, if not then the fuse is blown.

We checked wit a tool we hav you hook one end to to somthing metal on the car then you put it on the fuse and it lights up if its good, like if it has power.

Cigarette lighter should only work when ign. Is on, remove and check for 12V at connector. If no voltage at connector then there is a fuse blown.

Speedometer may be a bad sender, or cable if it uses cables.

What needs to be removed to replace lighter lighter does not work according to manual has a 25 amp fuse for both lighter and radio together radio works

You will need to gain access to the rear of the light socket. Our reference material doesn't show anything for this. There may be a side panel on the center console/dash that needs to be removed. The lighter socket itself unscrews from the rear section after the power and ground wires are removed. Check both wires to make sure they're making good contact before removing the new lighter assembly from the packaging. The connectors may have just vibrated loose.

The cigarette lighter in my 92 corolla stopped working. Fuses appear to be fine. What else can I check and is there a fuse box for this under the hood of the car?

Get a test light and probe the center contact of the cig socket if you have power the cig lighter coil is open-No power-check fuse no.12 15amp- if okay check the hot/ground wire behind the cig socket-see below

The car lighter is not functioning. The car Navigator charger is also not functioning. May be the current is not being supplied to the lighter port. How can I fix this problem?
