Changing the starter on a 2009 Jeep Wrangler 4WD 3.8L SFI OHV 6cyl wanted to no if there was any tricks to do it because of the limited space with the drive shaft in the way and the exhaust 2 inches away

There are no tricks other than putting the vehicle on a lift so that you are able to get better access.

If there are no lifts available, then we need to use jack stands.

However, if you are not able to access it because of the drive shaft then I would just remove it.
