When I turn the Steering Wheel I can hear a noise under the steering wheel I had a General Motors dealer to replace the ignition switch will the ignition switch causing the noise?

No the ignition switch will not make noise while turning the steering wheel. I have seen the intermediate shaft make noise while turning the steering on ions that year.

First you have to make sure its the intermediate shaft unhook the bottom of the intermediate shaft then pump the intermediate shaft up and down like 5 or 6 times the hook it back up and see if the noise changes or goes away?

Its at the base of the steering column inside the car.
