Car initially runs for 20 seconds and then engine stops runningand not starting back up. Changed coils. Changed fuel pump and still same problem. If I remove fuel pump relay car will start for another 5 to ten seconds and then cut off as if it's flooding out. Getting good spark and compression in all cylinders. Will not run when spraying starter fluid

Hello,

This sounds like you have a fuel injector that is shorted causing the computer to give a full on signal to the remaining injectors. Unplug the injectors and see if yo can get it to run on starting fluid.

Also here is a guide on how to test the injectors.

Please let us know what happens.

Best, Ken

With full battery, all connections clean and tight the starter will not give any response when key is turned to start position. However car will start when solenoid and power wires on the starter are jumped. With a test light there is no power at the solenoid wire when key is turned to start. I have switched relays to no avail. Also the horn is stuck on when I put the fuse back in. Question: is it possible that the relay/fuse box beside the battery has issues?

Put the old pcu back in and reset your security system if no manual look online. Then clear codes and recheck codes if still not starting.

First thing is to check what is missing causing the non-starting.
Who did the rebuilding?
