Gas fumes seem to be coming thru a/c vents on 05 Monte Carlo
Can't seem to find any leaks

When does the problem occur?
Is the smell very distinct?
Does problem still occur if the vents are turned to recirculating?

Not doing it today. This is the 3rd time it has done it. Very distinct smell. Hasn't happened in about a month. Just took a 1600 mile trip. Didn't do it. Haven't tried it switching to recirculating.

If the smell is on and off, it could be from the charcoal canister. Is the MIL indicating and have you tried checking for trouble codes?
