1995 monte carlo ac problem

I'm having problem with my ac. when i step on the accelerator the air stops flowing. If i let go the accelerator air starts blowing again. Any suggestion what might be wrong ? thank you

You have a vacum tank that stores vacum for the actuators for the doors in the heater box. It usually looks like a ball and has a vacum line going into it. I would sugest you find the tank and make sure that you have vacum to it. The plastic vacum lines going to it get brittle with age.
