What are some common causes for to continuously cut off?

I have a 2001 Saturn L300, and every time I start to slow down or I'm at a stop the car keeps cutting off, but it'll crank right back up with NO problem.

The idle control system is not functioning correctly due to dirt accumulating in the idle air passages.

Cleaning the throttle body and IAC should solve the problem.
