I have a 2001 Saab 9-5 SE automatic. The code states to replace the transmission filter. I have the filter but can't find a diagram to change it. Can I get some help I only have this weekend to get it back together. Thank you!

The code is P0741 torque converter clutch circuit performance or stuck off. I was told to try changing the filter and fluid first so thats what I am going for first before big money parts. Thank you for you super fast response!

Filter change not going to help there is an open in Torque Convertor Circuit possible TCC solenoid so trans will not shift into overdrive. TCC solenoid inside trans recomend have trained professional repait.

Ok but I do have everything for the filter & fluid change can you tell me where the filter is? I am ready to take the cover off the trans that contains the valve body and solenoids. Is the filter in there?

Sorry to say but saabs do not carry a filter, the only thing that can be changed is the fluid, and as per the code a fluid flush will not help, note check the wiring harness on the transmission itself for damage [like battery acid leakage on harness causing damage, or pest damage ] if no wiring damage check input & output shaft speed sensor if correctly mounted, if ok clear codes & test drive car at varying engine load & engine rpm for five minutes, then check if code returned, if it did then u may have a bad valve body solonoid sticking or not working, good luck.
