1999 Saab 9-5 check gear box
Transmission problem
1999 Saab 9-5 4 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic 188xxx miles
i shift the car in 'D' but in the dash panel appears the im driving the car in '2' shift but the cars drives en shift very good c ut be a sensor o fuse problem ?

does your gear shifter have a free play ,u sound like u have a shifter cable going or gone bad ,check your shifter cable end that is connected to your transmission if it comes up & off the ball shaft then u need a cable ,there is no fuse per say for this .

You possibly just need a shift cable adjustment.
The vehicle needs to be in (D) drive during adjustment.
No biggie though.
