2001 Renault Clio Repair Question

Oil leak on a clio, oil on end of oil filter casing, but coming from slightly higher, if i wipe it off it reappears around every 50 + miles, not losing much oil, any ideas?? clio is a 1.2 dynamique 2001

you need some dye in the system to determine where the exact leak is at. add it in the system and watch for the color.

thanks for that, i got a mechanic coming to look at it thursday, any idea roughly where the leak could be coming from? it doesnt lose coolant and i have to top oil up around every 300 miles (only around 1/4 litre if that) but oil never leaves drips on floor just on end of oil filter casing, but the oil is higher than that.
