2001 Mercury Sable No start

I was told that my knock sensor was bad and now that I have the part I'm trying to locate where it goes. Can someone please help me find the location of the knock sensor? A diagram would be a great help

There is two of them knock sensor number one is on left rear of engine bellow the intake manifold. Knock sensor number two is on right rear of engine bellow intake.

No it wouldn't so it cranks and won't start? Any odes in the computer?

Not that I know of the check engine light never came on. It was starting up fine without any problems then on the same night it wouldn't start. The crankshaft sensors was changed and all the fuses were checked fuel line is clear and the power box was changed still no start.

I don't know the exact fuel pressure but it doesn't have any spark

What is injector pulse? I know something was stuck inside the fuel line in the front of the car and fuel came out other than that I don't know

The pulse is what opens an closes the injectors its a constant power and pulsing ground while cranking and with then engine running. Do you have a led test light?

We have a standard one that lights up to see what has power to whatever is being tested. Is that the type of tester your speaking about.

Yes you can use that with the key in the run position all the red wires going to the injectors should have power. Then the other wires should have a pulsing ground while cranking?

So do you have injector pulse and power to the fuel injectors?From that info I will give more tests. You have no spark that's one reason it doesn't start. Plus we don't know if we have the proper fuel pressure to start an run.I can't test an look at things that's what your doing for me.

You have to also check the other wire for a pulsing ground.

For the pulsing ground how will I know if I have it or not? I can get someone to try to crank the car while I'm looking at the wires, but I need to know what I'm looking for.

Take the alligator clip hook it to the positive side of the battery and test the none red wire at the injector connector crank the engine the test light should flash.

There is power going to all the wires on the fuel injector
