2000 Pontiac Montana Repair Question

Starter
My starter makes a whining sound and doesnt stop unless you turn the key off and wont start the cars.

If your saying the starter spins but doesn't engage the flywheel, you may have to remove the starter and have it tested?
If what your hearing is normal cranking sound, check ignition feed to the starter.
