2000 Honda Passport Repair Question

Heater in my car
I have a 2000 Honda passport. The Ac went out this summer, which i dont care about, but i live where it snows and now my heater is making a sound like when you stick your finger on a plastic fan blade its like a clicking whistle type sound.. its blowing semi warm air but not HOT air and its not heating fast.. what could this mean?

Does the sound change with the fan speed? Also, check to make sure the coolant is full and the engine is running at operating temp.
