Manual trans prob

My care will not go into reverse. I seen a responce about a 99 honda answered in detail on this site answering how to test all the sensors related to the trans with see figures on how to test the sensors. I have the right tester just dont know what to do to test them if you could help please

Manual transaxles don't have sensors if no REV then an internal problem. Is fifth gear good?

Yes all 5 gears are perfectly fine. Will a f22 trans work with my car

Yes, the F22 will work with your car. However, you will need to change the shifter, add cooling lines and disengage the clutch cabling and actuator arm. You will also need to have the speedometer recalibrated.

That being said, it sounds as if the synchros for reverse have gone out. With the right tools and manual, this is a fairly easy repair. Much easier than converting from manual to automatic.
