My 1997 Honda's transmission stopped working out of no where. It was working perfectly fine but my brother was driving it and it just stopped moving. I'm guessing the transmission died on it but Hondas aren't known for transmissions dying. It work periodically, like I had it towed back to my house and I had the car on the whole time because it was getting pulled so I wanted to have the power steering and brake system worked but it never moved forward. Now this morning when I get up to see if it moves it caught the gear after revving it for a little bit. I went around the neighborhood and all but it feels forced to move and the fluid is good. We recently had the speed sensor changed, are there any other sensors I should know about? Or is it just the my transmission is done?

Hi there,

I have seen the PCM go out and cause this problem but to be sure lets run the codes this guide can help and I have included the PCM location so you can change it out to see if that was the problem.
