Where is the fuel injector on 2002 Cadillac Deville, How hard to replace.

To replace an injector, you need to disconnect the battery, release any pressure in the fuel system, remove the fuel rail, and the injector will then come off for you. NOTE: Each injector will have O-rings on them. Make sure they are in good condition and properly installed when you replace the unit.

Also, if this is the same person that questioned the number 2 misfire, I forgot to mention on your other post to check for an injector pulse to that cylinder.

To check for an injector pulse, disconnect the wiring from a specific injector and plug in a noid light to the power side of the wiring. As the engine cranks, the light should strobe on and off when the injector should be getting power.

A noid light is a very cheap light. Most parts stores will lend you one if needed.

Because of funds I must attempt to replace the injectors myself. The engine is a 4.9 v8. Please give me any advice and proceedures, do's and don'ts, so I may get through this without dissaster. Any illistrations would be greatly appreciated.
