Volkswagen Jetta Engine Problem
I have a 99 Jetta, that won't shift into 3rd until the RPM reach 4000.?
I believe my fluid level is low, and this is why it won't shift. Do I need to use VW transmission fluid or can I use DOT4 or DOT4+?

Fluid level is checked at 35c with the level plug removed and the engine in park.
Fluid is correct when it just drips a little out of the level hole.
Using a scan tool you need to set the basic settings and also check the TCM coding.... setting both of those can
cure late shift issues.
