Transmission problem
1994 Volkswagen Jetta 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 124k miles

I have just noticed that I currently have transmission fluid inside my cooling water. I replaced mt radiator before due to engine oil in my cooling water now I have trans fluid inside the water. What could caused this? And how can I fix the problem?

Thanks

If you had oil in the radiator, and it was confirmed as motor oil, then changing the radiator will not fix the engine problem that caused it. However, if you now can confirm it as tranny fluid, the radiator side tank for cooling the tranny fluid has an internal crack and needs to be replaced. I would do a block test on the radiator, this will determine if it is engine or tranny oil. The test kit costs about 50.00 dollars.
