We had a bad transmission. New one installed and computer is showing same codes. New trans shifting starting from 2nd gear and missing 4th (I believe that is what he said). We have tried a new computer and took it to the dealership to have them "reboot" it and it didn't start. They then got another one and did the same thing, would not start. We got another one, still won't start. If you put in the orig. Computer it will start right up. But the codes are still showing the transmission. Any ideas on what to do or look for?

Thank you. We did trace the wiring harness and looked all over for kinks, cuts and such. What doesn't make sense is why the old computer starts the van and works, but new ones will not. You would think that none of them would start the van if there was a wire issue.

They may not have the right programming in them even if the tech says they were. Also check all your grounds, bat to body, bat to eng, eng to body, etc.
