Time for an inspection by a steering and suspension specialist. You'll find them at tire stores and many independent repair shops. The most likely suspects would be the upper and lower ball joints. Unlike all of the other ball joints in the world, Dakota and Durango lower ball joints can have vertical movement between the ball and socket, but never sideways movement. New Chrysler lower ball joints will have that free play right out of the box and is perfectly acceptable. There should be no vertical or sideways movement between the ball and socket of the upper ball joints.
