1998 Volvo S40 Repair Question

Volvo S40 Wiring Problem
On the left side of the car the brake light is not coming on but the bulb is good i have inspected
the board for corrosion and the bulb is tight i am not sure what it could be i have also checked
the hayes manual elecrical dia and the brake wiring connects to the fault diagnois panel connected to dash please give me some suggestions.

You can try a new bulb just to be 100% sure. Let me know how that goes and if that does not work will look at some wiring diagrams to see whats going on. Good luck to you.
