I replaced the intake manifold on my brother in law's 98' lincoln town car and now it wont even turn over. When I turn the key, the crank makes about a quarter rotation then stops, but not like dead battery stop, more like something is preventing crankshaft from spinning. I also tried manually cranking it but wouldn't spin more then about a quarter turn if that. All ideas greatly appreciated!

Remove the spark plugs and see if the starter will turn the engine over. If it does, pay attention if any coolant comes out of the plug hole. It sounds like coolant is getting into a cylinder and causing hydrostatic lock. If oaky it sounds like the starter is having problems or the battery needs to be load tested these guides can help us fix it.
